What is a bodily weapon?

In Pahuyuth, the term bodily weapon refers to elements of the human body that can be used as a weapon.

Background

In the context of Pahuyuth lessons, one counts in particular

as bodily weapons. In practice, however, bodily weapons also extend to individual fingers (e.g. poking or scratching the eyes) or teeth (biting) or any other part of the body, if the situation requires it.

Bodily weapon weapons are used in all Pahuyuth disciplines. Students of the probationary level (yellow belt) learn twelve basic techniques for bodily weapons.

Other types of weapons

If it is a non-bodily object that is used as a weapon, one speaks of a non-bodily weapon, while throwing techniques, gripping techniques and pressure point techniques are attributed to the so-called system weapons.
