What is elbow?

Elbow is one of four bodily weapons of Pahuyuth.

Background

Elbows are the jointed connection between upper arm bone (humerus), elbow bone (ulna) and spoke (radius).

The elbow techniques are particularly suitable for defense against attacks and as a precise close-range weapon.

Elbow techniques are divided into

  • Ascending Elbow (elbow connects in upward movement),
  • Parallel Elbow (elbow connects as it moves parallel to the ground)
  • Descending Elbow (elbow connects in downward movement).

The amount of possible elbow techniques in Pahuyuth infinite. As part of the Pahuyuth training, elbow techniques are taught as basic techniques, variants, combinations and applications and are individually refined.
