What is a Holy Spirit?

In Saiyasart, a Holy Spirit (Pieh Jauw) is a magical figure or ghost apparition that is created by bereaved relatives.

Background

Holy spirits are women or men whose bereaved have built them a place for adoration, so that their souls are bound there, voluntarily or involuntarily.
