What is Muay Khao Niao?

Muay Khao Niao (translated as “Sticky-Rice-Muay”, also known as Muay Thierabsung) is a colloquial term for Muay Thai fighters from Isaan and northeastern Thailand.

Background

Muay Khao Niao fighters are considered extremely resilient and always cheerful fighters. This refers to the kind of Muay Thai fighters who are able to take a lot of heavy hits and still be able to smile friendly afterwards while they start their counter-offensive.
