The sword face (weakness) is the front third of a Thai sword (Daab) or the front half of the blade, measured from the tip of the sword. The sword face is mainly used for attack. It’s suitable for chopping, cutting or tearing, wheras an aggressive clashing of blades is avoided to prevent wear and tear. For parrying the sword catch or the sword’s backs is preferably used.
