What is a Muay Longliern?

Muay Longliern are martial artists who have learned Muay Thai at a sports university and are now in the process of making a career in the industry.

Background

Muay Longliern can be described as a kind of “academic Muay Thai”. Compared to professional fighters, who have usually trained for this sport all their lives and therefore have a high degree of practical combat experience, such boxers are considered theorists and not practitioners. The term “Muay Longliern” is therefore used in a rather derogatory way.
