What is the future?

Background

It is possible that something will emerge in the present, which will happen in the future. This is a so-called trend. However this is no guarantee that this will actually occur as an experience or an event. In most cases, the perception of the future is based on a vision generated by more or less complete data sets from the past during the present. The future can therefore be described as the presence of the past.

The present lies between a future that has not yet begun and a past that has been completed.
