What is a sickle (weapon)?

A sickle (Kieaw) is a non-bodily, roughly hand-long weapon with a crescent-shaped blade.

Background

As a traditional bladed weapon, sickles are used in the discipline MEED. It does not matter whether it is a sickle or a knife with a curved blade (e.g. gardener’s knife, peeling knife, pruning knife, carambit, kerambit, Kurambiak, Kukri, etc.) or an object with similar physical characteristics (e.g. a boomerang).
