What is a Civil Boxing Match (Muai Radd)?

Muai Radd was the term for boxing matches that were held during the reign of King Rama II (1809-1824 A.D.) away from the catchment area of the then capital.

Background

Unlike the more show-fighting-oriented, state boxing fights (Muai Loung), pretty much anything was allowed in these bourgeois boxing matches.
